Helsi.me – Digital Healthcare Platform


Role: Senior UX/Product Designer

Helsi.me is a modern, secure, and intuitive electronic healthcare system designed to serve patients, doctors, and both public and private medical institutions. I led the UX design of this platform, focusing on creating seamless, user-centered experiences across web and mobile interfaces for multiple stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem.

Effortless search and selection of healthcare providers.

Quick online appointment scheduling for themselves and family members.

Access to personal electronic medical records (EMR), including real-time test results and diagnostics.

Visibility into doctor prescriptions and personalized treatment plans.

My Contributions:

Designed a cohesive, multi-stakeholder UX strategy ensuring usability, accessibility, and workflow efficiency.

Developed wireframes, prototypes, and interactive dashboards tailored for diverse user groups.Collaborated closely with product managers, developers, and medical experts to translate complex medical workflows into intuitive digital experiences.

Ensured the platform adhered to the highest standards of security, privacy, and compliance under Ukrainian regulations.

My Role

As the Senior UX/Product Designer for Helsi.me, I was responsible for leading the design of key platform features and shaping the user experience for patients, doctors, and medical institutions. My work focused on translating complex healthcare processes into intuitive, accessible, and visually coherent digital solutions.

Research & Insights:

Conducted deep user research, combining qualitative interviews, contextual inquiries, and quantitative surveys to capture insights from both patients and doctors.

Mapped workflows and pain points across multiple user journeys, including appointment booking, medical record access, and doctor administration tasks.

Analyzed user behavior through analytics and heatmaps, identifying friction points and opportunities to optimize interactions.

Design & Prototyping:

Developed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for critical pages such as patient profiles, appointment scheduling, treatment plans, and doctor dashboards.

Created mobile-adaptive designs to ensure a seamless experience across devices, optimizing for responsiveness, accessibility, and touch interactions.

Established a consistent design language and interface patterns that aligned with platform branding and usability standards.

Testing & Validation:

Executed three types of testing to ensure usability and effectiveness:

Usability testing with patients and medical staff to validate workflows and interface clarity.

A/B testing to optimize booking flows and interaction patterns.

Heuristic evaluations to ensure adherence to usability principles and accessibility guidelines.

Iterated on designs based on user feedback, analytics data, and cross-functional input to continuously enhance platform efficiency and satisfaction.

Collaboration & Impact:

Worked closely with product managers, developers, medical consultants, and customer support teams to ensure designs met business requirements and technical feasibility.

Mentored junior designers, providing guidance on UX methodologies, prototyping, and research practices.

Delivered designs that improved patient engagement, reduced appointment friction, and streamlined clinical workflows, contributing to the platform’s adoption and recognition as an innovative digital healthcare solution.

Through this role, I combined strategic UX thinking, hands-on design execution, and rigorous user-centered research to create a healthcare platform that is both highly functional and genuinely user-friendly for diverse stakeholders.

Helsi Mobile App – Android & iOS


Helsi’s mobile app brings comprehensive healthcare services directly to users’ smartphones, offering 24/7 access to doctors, medical data, and medications—all in one intuitive platform. Designed for patients managing their own or family’s health, the app simplifies healthcare interactions while maintaining security and accessibility.

Key Features:

  • Doctor Appointments: Quickly search for specialists based on ratings, reviews, or experience, and book appointments for yourself or loved ones in minutes.

  • Online Doctor: Instant consultations available 24/7 with any doctor.

  • Test Result Interpretation: Clear, actionable explanations of medical test results.

  • Helsi+: Advanced health monitoring, tracking key indicators such as blood pressure and pulse, with personalized notifications and recommendations.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Access prescriptions, referrals, vaccinations, and visit history in one place.

  • Health Digest: Monthly discounts on lab tests and medical services at top healthcare providers.

  • Helsi Plan & AI Review: AI-assisted scheduling, notifications, and smart analysis of doctor reviews for confident decision-making.

  • Online Medications: Search, reserve, and purchase medicines at pharmacies with discounts.

UX Contributions:

  • Conducted user research, interviews, and surveys with patients and doctors to understand diverse needs.

  • Designed wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for both Android and iOS, ensuring responsive and accessible experiences.

  • Optimized mobile workflows for booking, medical record access, and consultations.

  • Performed usability testing, A/B testing, and heuristic evaluations to validate design decisions and improve user engagement.

  • Collaborated with developers and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless functionality and compliance with security standards.

Helsi is Ukraine’s largest medical information system, integrated with the national electronic healthcare system (eHealth). The mobile app continues to evolve, with new features such as personalized health monitoring, improved notifications, and performance enhancements—making healthcare more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly.
